FAQs
Is my financial data really private?
Yes, and not as a policy - as a technical fact. There's no account, no login, and no server storing your financial data. Everything you enter into your budget is stored locally in your browser on your own device. I couldn't see your numbers if I wanted to, because they never get sent anywhere.
What happens when I get a new phone?
Tap 💾 Backup and the app saves a single file to your device. On the new phone, open the app and tap 📂 Restore, pick that file, and everything comes back exactly as it was. The app will also nudge you if it's been a while since your last backup.
Does it sync between my phone and my computer?
Not automatically, that would require a server which would mean giving up the privacy above. You move your budget between devices with the same Backup and Restore buttons. Most people set it up on one device and use it there.
Does it connect to my bank?
No. You enter your income and expenses yourself. That's deliberate: no bank passwords to hand over, no third-party data aggregator, nothing to breach. It also means you actually look at your money each week, which is most of why budgeting works.
Is it really a one-time price?

What if I stop using it - can I get my data out?
Yes. The backup file is plain, readable JSON, and you can print or save a one-page summary anytime. Your data is never locked in.
